He started his schooling at Mankessim urban Council school and completed in 1972.
He continued his schooling at Aggrey Mem A M E Zion Sec Sch and completed in1977.
He obtained his B A Hons at the University Of Ghana -Legon and went

to Liverpool University to read a masters degree in Public Administration
He went ahead to read a masters programme in Public Policy at the State University of New York.
He followed this up with a PHD in Comparative Politics. He has taught in the following universities; Cornell university Birgham University Lehigh University Lafayette College Cedar Crest College Currently he is a Professor of Political Science and the Director of the Fredrick Douglas Institute at the East Strousburg University of Pennsylvania USA
He has published the following books; Transition and Consolidation of Democracy and Africa in a Global Age
