A native of the central region of Ghana, the special guest of honour after her basic education had her secondary education at Mfanstiman Girls Secondary School.
She then followed with her tertiary education at the university of Ghana Legon where she read English.

She taught for a while at Wesley Girl's secondary school. She then worked in a senior management position in a mining company at Tarkwa.
She entered into serious polictics and worked as the municipal director of cape coast for a short while during the PNDC era. She then stood for MP at the cape coast municipality and won. She is currently the sitting MP for Cape Coast and is the Minister of State for Basic, Secondary and Girl Child Education.
She is also championing the fight against aids with her secondary virginity campaign. She is a mother of two
